Kessler Park: A New Old Home

In this newly built home in historic Kessler Park, our goal was to bring warmth and character to fresh construction. While the architecture offered generous scale and beautiful light, the interiors needed depth and intimacy. We wrapped the expansive great room in richly textured grasscloth to soften its scale, then layered a thoughtful mix of vintage and new furnishings in saturated, earthy tones. Pattern, texture, and sculptural wood pieces give the space a collected sensibility that feels evolved rather than installed. In the entry, a vintage hall tree anchors a practical drop zone, set against bold graphic wallpaper that establishes personality from the moment you walk in. The office leans midcentury, with a sculptural desk, leather lounge chair, and woven shades that filter the light and add warmth.

The result is a home that feels grounded, intimate, and storied — proof that new construction can still feel deeply lived in.
